Federal Funding
The National Child Care Association supports federal funding of child care and recognizes the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) as the cornerstone of the US childhood care and education system. Many NCCA members provide services to working families through state subsidy systems and understand the struggles these families face in terms of both access and quality for their children. The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) provides funding for many of the children found in our programs. Both funds are vitally important to the NCCA members, staff, and families. NCCA members access other federal funds to support quality programs in our centers. We believe these funds should be available to all parts of the delivery system and be funded at true costs.
